Ages 9-10 Kid Pitch - Minors
The WYB Kid Pitch league is our youngest kid pitch league and is a great way to be introduced to kid pitch baseball. Our main goal is simply for the kids to have fun and develop in the game of baseball. Please see below for general information and the rules page for the league rules. If you need something you don't see, use the contact info at the bottom.

* Registrations May 1st – May 15th will be placed on a wait list and only will be added to teams as space becomes available.
Registration is open for boys and girls ages 9 & 10 who reside in the Worthington School District or attend a private school within the Worthington School District.
All Children who will turn 9 before May 15th are invited to join. Children not yet 9 years old by the start of the season can not play unless granted an exception by the commissioner.
Girls are welcomed to play WYB Minors Kid Pitch, however WYB has a separate softball program. See www.WorthingtonSoftball.org for more information.
Teams & Coaches
Teams will be formed immediately after the registration deadline. We try to form teams based on Elementary School attended (or scheduled to attend). We make every attempt to honor any special requests. Schools/neighborhoods without a coaching volunteer will likely have to be dispersed among other teams and won't be able to be kept together.
Practices and Games
Practices will start during mid May. Games will start the end of May and run thru early July. Teams will typically have 3 events each week.
Practices/Games during the week typically start around 6:00 (potentially as early as 5:30) and last for around an hour. There is typically a game each Saturday (any time). Sundays and Fridays are used more makeups or supplemental practices.
Games are typically played at Perry Park. Practices are usually at one of the various elementary school fields around town.
The schedule will not be finalized until registration has closed, and teams have been formed.
See the Uniforms page for information regarding where to obtain league uniforms.
Parents are responsible for buying baseball pants. Baseball pants are not required and many kids wear shorts, although protection for sliding would be recommended. Kids may wear tennis shoes or rubber baseball/soccer cleats.
Each player will need his own glove. WYB does not supply baseball bats, however bats are quite often shared among teams if your player does not own one. Please consult this sizing guideline for gloves and bats.
See the Rules Page.
